De Taalkamer processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.

Your personal data is primarily processed in order to:

• send you the requested and/or necessary information

• record, administratively process and invoice your intake and/or (online) language training

• provide the agreed language training and communicate about it

• handle and resolve complaints

• comply with legal obligations

• carry out analyses and reporting to improve our services

3. Name and address of the referring organization or employer

4. Contact details of your contact person (if applicable)

5. Current education (for students)

6. Debtor details

(Personal) data relating to the language training courses:

• language and type of training

• starting and final level

• learning objectives

• completed (online) exercises

• progress and evaluations

• recommendations for further language development

We collect personal data from applicants for recruitment and selection purposes.

De Taalkamer processes personal data in order to:

Automated Decision-Making

De Taalkamer does not make decisions with significant consequences for individuals without human intervention. In the electronic learning environment Moodle students are automatically removed after six months of inactivity.

Retention Periods

• Personal data of students: a maximum of 5 years after completion of the training (unless a longer period is required by law).

• Financial/administrative documents: 7 years (statutory tax retention period).

• Website visitors, interested parties and partners: a maximum of 12 months after the last contact, unless a longer period is required by law.

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

We work with IT service providers for the management of online training. These parties process personal data solely on our behalf.
Our data locations are within the EU and in Switzerland. For Switzerland, an adequacy decision by the European Commission applies.
