De Taalkamer (www.de-taalkamer.nl) is looking for experienced and enthusiastic English teachers who have a clear affinity with music and (some) knowledge of musical vocabulary.  We organise group lessons for international students at the Conservatory of Music who need support with the English language to better follow the curriculum lessons. The courses involve 20 evening lessons, starting in October 2024.

Details:

• Group levels: A2-B1 and B1-B2
• Location: Conservatory of Amsterdam at Oosterdokskade
• Time: Mondays and Wednesdays 19:00-20:30
• Duration: 20 lessons, 1.5 hrs per lesson
• Hourly rate: €55 incl. BTW (VAT) on a freelance basis
• Familiarity with teaching students at hbo level is a plus

In addition to the regular course material, with everyday language, we use many exercises that are linked to the creative educational and working field of the students. These exercises will be provided by De Taalkamer, in addition to the lesson plans, but there is always room to deviate from the lesson plan if this benefits the students.
